Situated in the center of London, the University of Westminster is one of the largest universities in the UK with a student body that reflects the diversity of London itself. The University has four superbly located, well equipped campuses. The Marylebone, Cavendish and Regent campuses are all situated close to familiar London landmarks, such as the Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, the BBC, the British Museum and the British Library, while the Harrow Campus enjoys a quieter, scenic location just 20 minutes by tube from central London.
The Internship Experience
As part of the Study Abroad Program at the University of Westminster, you have the opportunity to undertake an academically assessed internship. The internship is the equivalent of one Westminster module (4 credits) and is taken alongside three other modules at the University (total of 16 credits). Students normally work 2-3 days per week; and on average 15 hours per week. On your application, state which fields you are interested in and in which you have experience, and the Westminster Internship Coordinator will work to find you a suitable placement. The internship experience is designed to help you develop your professional skills, but it can also help develop confidence, communication skills and personal qualities.
