Since its origin in 1999, the Institute has continued to set itself apart as a provider of distinctive academic programs, allowing students the opportunity to learn both in and beyond the classroom in the vibrant city of Perugia.

Studying at the Umbra Institute provides you with the opportunity to design the study abroad experience which will best suit your academic needs.  Umbra offers four study options including: the General Studies Program; Independent Research Program; the Italian Language and Culture Program; or the opportunity to enroll at the University of Perugia.  The Institute also offers honors courses.
