LONDON SUMMER INTERNSHIP
The London Internship Program offers 6 weeks of work (plus one week of orientation)  in England's fascinating, fast-moving, and sophisticated capital. Students participate in London's work life through assigned internships that complement their particular academic concentration and personal goals. Students are at work 8 hours a day, Monday through Thursday(six hours of work and two hours of breaks per day).

As part of the internship program students will participate in professional development seminars as well as cultural experiences. There will be weekly written assignments where students reflect on both their experiential learning and the seminars. The seminars take place every Friday for 6 hours and may cover such topics as interpersonal skills, work habits, time management, and the effective use of technology. The cultural experiences will be both independent and with a group of other internship students. Students will visit parks, the theater and museums.

Internship areas include advertising, marketing, and public relations; arts and arts administration; business and economics; film, radio, and television; hospitality and tourism; journalism; management and finance; politics and international relations; prelaw; psychology and social policy; and theater studies.

Our internship placement team in London works closely with students to select their internship option. After being accepted into the program students will have a phone interview with an internship manager. They will discuss the student’s preferences, priorities, professional and personal goals in order to find an internship that best meets the student’s needs. Ninety-seven percent of students are placed prior to their departure for London and will receive an email informing them of their placement and position. During their orientation week in London, students will interview with their company or organization. Our internship team has been placing American students in internships for over 20 years and on average contact 40-50 companies per student when looking for the right placement. Opportunities exist in both small, dynamic local firms, as well as market-leading multi-national organizations.
