The campus is surrounded by grasslands, woodlands and lakes and includes all the facilities you will need to have a successful and enjoyable summer session. You will live in residence halls in single study bedrooms with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities and will receive 10 meals per week (Monday-Friday). Other facilities that you will find of use include a cafe, Students' Union (serving food with a bar), library, and Learning Resource Center. Sports enthusiasts are well catered for as Trent Park has its own outdoor swimming pool, sports grounds and sports hall and a thousand acres of rolling parkland, perfect for walkers and joggers. A golf course and riding stables are nearby.

Academic Information:

The summer school at Middlesex University includes courses drawn from across the university's wide ranging curriculum. Students may enroll in one or two courses at Middlesex during the six week period (see Program Fee information below for costs). Many of the subjects are taught over five weeks, although some are taught more intensively (from one to three weeks in length) and meet from 7-8 hours per week. Courses are offered during the day and evenings, Monday through Friday, giving you flexibility in your scheduling. Students are required to be on campus for their final assessment and examination week. Assessment varies from subject to subject, but most courses are based on a combination of coursework and a final project or exam. As the UK system demands more from students outside the classroom, each course is worth between 5-10 U.S. credits.

There are a variety of subjects to choose from during this summer program. You will find interesting classes in art and design, business and law, cultural studies, education, environment, marketing, performance, psychology, computer information systems, health, history, politics, humanities, languages, literature, film, and the social sciences. Popular courses include Performing London, Multi-Faith London, Black London, and History & Architecture of London.
