How to Choose Your Courses
As part of the application process you will be required to complete the CIS Course Selection Worksheet found in the CIS Application Packet. The following instructions will guide you through the steps of choosing your courses.

COURSE LOAD:
4-5 courses

COURSE APPROVAL:
It is best to get 7-8 classes pre-approved before you go abroad. This way you will have plenty of classes to choose from and some flexibility in setting up your schedule. You should also consider filling your elective requirements while abroad.

CLASS DESCRIPTIONS & CATALOG:
http://www2.ul.ie/web/WWW/Services/International_Education_Division/Submenus/Study_Abroad/Courses

TIMETABLES:
The first two letters of the course code indicate the subject area to which the module belongs. The final numerical digit of the code corresponds to the semester of study in which the module is normally taken. For example, year one modules end in 1 (fall semester) and 2 (spring semester), year two modules end in 3 (fall semester) and 4 (spring semester), year three modules end in 5 (fall) and 6 (spring), and so on.

HELPFUL INFORMATION:
The three digit codes found at the right of a module title represent the number of corresponding lecture, tutorial, and laboratory hours (in this order) required per module.
